ABOUT NETTLE & NÅL

Hi, I'm Abel, and Nettle and Nål is a place I post and share about my fiber-related work. I am currently a student in post-bacc fiber art studies.

As an artist, my creative praxis often involves working with methods and materials that have been used since antiquity. By focusing on form and function, I endeavor to create a narrative between what is considered Fine Art and Objects of Utility. My art brings together a body of work that is influenced by traditional agrarian cycles, often incorporating materials that are locally harvested or sourced and in-season.

My aim with Nettle and Nål is to share my work, my processes, and my thoughts on fiber arts.

When I'm not working on fiber art, I enjoy illustrating, DnD, and tending to too many house plants.
